Rehab Services

Rehab services offered by Baylor include Leap for Life®, Caring Hearts® and the Heart Well Forum.

Leap for Life® is a one-day workshop that provides detailed information on how to manage heart disease and is available to all Baylor heart patients. Workshops are held monthly on the Dallas campus. Participants are encouraged to bring a guest.
More About Leap For Life®

In the Caring Hearts® program, people who are a year past their own cardiac event volunteer to visit a patient before and after a procedure, offering empathy and support. Caring Hearts® volunteers also support the cardiac intensive care and waiting room staffs. A telephone hotline matches a volunteer to a patient with a similar heart procedure.

The Heart Well Forum is a monthly meeting and support group for heart and vascular patients and their families. The meeting features lunch, an educational program and time for social interaction and support. Find dates and times for the Heart Well Forum on our calendar.

Our rehab programs are generally conducted in conjunction with the Baylor Tom Landry Health and Wellness Center, overseen by the doctors on the medical staff at the Baylor Jack and Jane Hamilton Heart and Vascular Hospital. The Baylor Tom Landry Health and Wellness Center is a facility dedicated to offering comprehensive medical, health, fitness and sports science research services to the Dallas community.

The complex features the Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center, including an aquatics center, cardiac, spine and physical rehabilitation centers, a sports science and wellness laboratory, the Baylor Motion and Sports Performance Center and the Personal Edge Comprehensive Health and Fitness Assessment Program. The Center is an affiliate of the Baylor Health Care System.
